Hello everyone!

Hey all, I'm in pretty good spirits today. I just got up and did some clean-up at the mall my dad manages, not the funnest job, but being outside was nice. I also got 2 new CD's yesterday. One by Relient K and one by Demon Hunter. I am quite glad I found out about Demon Hunter, you see, I'm on a constant quest to find HEAVY Christian music and Demon Hunter fits that bill. I recommend them to anyone who likes to be screamed at. (Warning, music may be fatal to the elderly)

Anyways, here are some pictures!!!

This is a dragonfly, they were all over my cousins docks and I got many close ups. This one has incredible eyes.

This is what happens to crabs who die. They start very little and grow to a certain size (still small enough to fit in your hand) and then they go into the ocean until they grow as big as the one below. Then they die. And eventually only the shell is left.

This is a heron. Of all the birds I've seen, this is probably my favourite. They are very graceful, especially in flight.

Flowers!!

Hey everyone!!! It has been quite awhile since I've posted pictures, so today you get FIVE beautiful flower pictures. I took these all in the Butchant Gardens in British Colombia, Canada. It is a beautiful garden with thousands of visitors a day and hundreds of thousands of flowers, hope you like them!!

I really liked this flower, it seemed to be stretching wide, almost reaching for something.

This one is similar, but I must say I like the rich petal colour on the above one more.

Another beautiful flower, this one reminded me of a whole bunch of miniature hearts gathering in one place, it was just a stunning site to see.

Heres another one. Just for your information, most of these flowers were very large, a whole lot bigger than the ones where I live, the one below was approaching the size of my head. :)

I liked this flower, a strange colour scheme I thought. Sort of reminded me of a burst of light, more vivid on the inside and washed out on the outside.

Now before I finish this post, I feel I have to give credit where credit is due. While I was the man holding the camera at the time of these pictures. All I was doing was capturing the creation of a much greater being. My thanks goes out to the Lord Almight for His power and ability to put things like this on the earth. Without Him my photography would be useless!

Keilan

Quick Post!

Hey all, I really have been slacking off and getting behind on my blog posting!! I'm sorry. My work is crazy at the moment, too many hours, I feel deep pity for all the people working full time out there. Anyways, I have to go, with any luck, I will put some pictures up later today.

Sorry for the wait!

Hello all,

I'm sorry for the long wait, between traveling, laziness and being away from my computer, I just didn't get around to posting. But I'm home now, so it's fine. I have about 600 pictures from my trip, but I'm sure I will cut that down a lot by the time I look through them. I also went through 3 batteries on my MP3 player (about 18 hours of music a battery... hehe). Well here are some of my shots.

This is one of the several bajillion dragonflies on my aunt and uncles dock.

This is a lily-pad flower, they only bloom during the day and randomly vanish at night.

This is a pretty purple cluster of flowers, I found lots of nice flowers in Victoria.

This is a blackberry. Well at least it will be. Most of them are green and some of them are red, all are incredibly sour until they turn black and juicy. We were there in the wrong season, no blackberries... :(

More from Victoria!

Hey everyone! I have decided to try and get a post up every two days while I'm in Victoria, so here is my post for the 19th, I visited some neat places today, including a place called the Butchant Gardens filled with pretty flowers. Although I took around 100 shots there, I will only upload this one.

Here is a frog. Ribbit.

However you do have my permission to laugh at this picture. I took it inside an aquarium where no flash was allowed, so I had to kill the quality to get it that bright. Not a very good picture, but better than no picture.

First pictures from Victoria!

Hey everyone! I guess it's about time I upload some pictures, eh? Well I hope I won't dissapoint. I took some good ones today, but those are for another time, haha. For now, I'm going to give you some shots from my drive up here. Enjoy!

This is a shot taken out of my car window. Just a tip, taking pictures out of car windows sucks. This is the only one that turned out even a little bit decent.

This is a squirrel with red-eye. Cute, I know, haha.

This is a bird on a beach I was at. Interesting story there. As I was photographing this bird, a guy started yelling at me for taking pictures of people on the beach. Now I was just taking pictures of the bird, and I figured it didn't mind me invading it's privacy, but when I tried to explain this to the guy, I realized he was quite drunk. One of the local beach-dwellers helped me out though, so it was all good.

I haven't forgotten about you!

Hey everyone, I know it has been 3 days since my last post. I'll try not to do that again!!!

But anyways, I am now in Victoria. I will definately get some nice pictures here. Although I'm not entirely sure I can upload them using my cousins computer. I will try my best!

Now I hope to give you some pictures to look at soon!

God Bless,
Keilan

Good day all!

Hello all!

Sorry about my lack of a post yesterday. As you may have guessed I haven't gotten around to taking any new shots recently. I did however manage to dig up a few old bird shots. Enjoy.

A neat looking bird, I love the blue wings!

I think it's just the angle, but this Robin looks amazingly fat.

Here is my nemesis again. I believe I have mentioned him before. Crazy bluebird, impossible to get a good shot of.

Have a great day everyone!

Hello Everyone!

Hey there, I dont' have anything new today, but I will post the shots I didn't get around to posting yesterday. Probably pretty similar to yesterdays, but what can I say, I have a life too ;) I'm going to Victoria in a few days though, I'm hoping for some awesome shots there. Enjoy all!

Two pelicans here, there were 3 or 4 on the lake, but never in a group of more than two. If anyone is interested, I believe that the one on the left is the female and the one on the right is a male. (The male has a longer bill)

Not much to this shot, I just liked it for some reason.

Pictures for all!!!

Hey everyone, I finally got some decent pictures today!!! I even have a few more than I'm showing now, but my computer is giving me trouble, and if I upload more it might crash. Sorry. Hope you enjoy them!!

This is a pelican, hard to catch flying, but I did what I could.

Here it is landed and giving me time to take a shot, a beautiful bird it is. I wish I could have taken some shots of it eating.

Speaking of eating, these 3 ducks have their tails in the air as they dive down for some grub!

This is a duck with her two ducklings... I just love baby animals, what can I saw, they're adorable.

Another duck, they really are beautiful when you take the time to look at them. I hope you can see them as beautiful just from these pictures!

This plant is wierd... the picture is wierd... it looks strange at the bottom... I don't know what to make of this one.

Another plant thingy, not my best, but a picture none the less!

I hope you all enjoyed these shots,
God Bless!

Hey Everyone!

I actually do have some new pictures today! They are kind of just to fill space on this blog, but pictures none the less :) With any luck I will be able to get some good duck pictures tomorrow (if the ducks are kind and actually show up). So anyway, here are the pictures I took yesterday while we had a fire. Flames are definately an interesting photo subject. Theres an art to getting them just right, and I have yet to figure it out, but I will some day. Until then, these ones look kind of neat.

Well, lets hope I get some new shots tomorrow.

God Bless,
Keilan

No pictures again!

Sorry, I really do mean to put pictures up every day, but I don't have free time every day. And when I do, I don't just do photography. So anyway, I'm sorry to dissapoint anyone looking for new pictures today. Tomorrow with any luck, I will have some. Not good ones, because I will have to take them in my backyard, but maybe I can still have some good ones. Anyways, I'm gonna go listen to some music. Tomorrow then! Peace.

No time!

Hey everyone, very sorry for not posting yesterday, I quite simply haven't had time to take many pictures. However, on the 14th or so, I'm heading over to Victoria (in British Columbia) and I am bound to get some great shots there, it's a beautiful place. Until then though, I dug up some shots I took awhile ago. They're nothing special, but I need to post SOMETHING.

This is an old enemy. He is very fast, and very skilled in avoiding any poses that make for a good picture. Downright beautiful though.

This is the most arrogant looking bird I have ever seen. I love it. :)

This is the view from my backyard, as a 15 year old photographer, I must say I'm quite thankful for what God decided to grow behind my house. I think I would die trying to live in the middle of the city.

My trip to a lake.

Hey everyone, I took a trip to a place near where I live called Park Lake to take some photos (and eat food, it was a family gathering). So somewhere between me being tired, overfed and being slowly drained of vital fluids by mosquitos, my pictures didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to post them. Please don't quit reading my blog on the spot, I don't think they're THAT bad. Here they are.

Of all 60-some pictures I took, this is the only one that really stood out to me. This bird, whatever it is, just looked so regal standing there with it's head held high.

This was a wierd tree, it's all alone. Poor thing, it must get lonely.

The sun was pretty brutal while I was taking my shots, I caught just a tiny glint of it in this shot.

Well hopefully I'll get back in gear and get you all some gooders in the near future, until then, lets hope these can cut it.

No Pictures today :(

Hey everyone, as the title said, I haven't had time to take any pictures recently. Real life disagrees with free time as it happens. However, I do have something for you. It's a daily devotional that I've been getting for awhile, written by a man named John Fischer. He's an excellent writer and I highly recommend his devotional. If you have the time (it's about a page long), I hope you'll give it a read.

My first digital triumph.

Hey all, first off, I want to apologize for the red text yesterday. It's ugly and I now it. ;) Anyways, I took an early morning walk today, or I planned to, but the sun was already way up by the time I got out. But I did get some decent shots. And here they are.

This is a little sunflower looking thing, about 20 of them randomly sprung up behind my house.

This is a flower that grew under the fence from my neighbours yard, they have quite the garden.

And now to explain my topic title. For the first time ever, I took a picture and made it not suck by using a computer program. I'm quite proud. Here is the original, obviously not the best shot.

Now this, is my edit, I found that the original have a very distracting background that took away from the flower. So, I fixed it.

That took about 10 minutes to do, and I used a program called Photoshop Elements 4. Just in case anyone cares. Thanks for reading.

Good Morning

Hey all, I got a harsh wake up call from my phone ringing this morning. Stupid phone, ringing at 7:30 like that. Anyways, today I'm going to use red text for no apparent reason. Complain in a comment if you hate it. Anyways, since I was up at 7:30 anyways, I ate some breakfast then went out to take some pictures around 9. I wasn't very creative today though. Sorry all. Anyways, like I promised, here is an email address you can contact me at. Feel free to email me about anything in my blog. keilansblog@hotmail.com

Alright, now for the photos, this is another little waterfall thingy in the lake near where I live.

This is the lake I take shots at, as you can see, it's rather small, and the benches and asphalt sure take away from the landscape.

Thats all I have for today, expect some better shots next Wednesday or Thursday, I don't work those days, so I'll have some time for photography.

It's me again.

Hey all, I just had a rather exciting day, swimming, eating corn dogs and playing some video game soccer all in one day, and the whole time I should have been sleeping. Good news is that I can sleep in nice and long tomorrow. And sit at home and eat ice cream sandwichs till 2. Life is good. Anyways, I didn't get out today, so I have two pictures for you, one not taken by me.

This is me, in the mirror, with my beautiful Kodak P850 Super-zoom camera. This is going to be my new profile image. Yes, I have long blonde hippy hair, and yes, I did hide most of my face on purpose.

For this photo, I have to give credits to the photographer, a Mr. Ted S., now I don't have expressed permission to use this photo, but he's my dad. Permission is being assumed. This is a picture of my dads fine motorcycle and, in the bottom-left, Mount Rushmore.

I'm tired.

Hi all, charming title, I know. I can tell from my page hit counters that my blog isn't very interesting ;) Oh well, I'll keep posting, just for fun, I even have a few new pictures for you all. I just worked a 10 hour day, not fun to say the least... I know plenty of people work like that everyday, but they usually arn't frail nerds more at home behind a computer than in a hot kitchen cooking countless A&W hamburgers. Not that I'm complaining, the management at my A&W is pretty cool. Although I suppose anyone on this page just wants to see pictures and doesn't care about my poor miserable day, hehe. So here are the pictures, not much today, sorry, I was near water and the mosquitos were horrible. Just a side note, I'm going to give anyone who doesn't already have it my email address soon, just in case you have something to say.
