My people shots!

Well recently I received a request to take some people shots. So I dug up a few old ones to post. A long with a nature shot, since I need some of those (Nature is my specialty after all). So anyways, this is an amazing fashion model who was kind enough to give me permission to post some photos of him. As you can imagine, this good looking tough guy is quite popular and I am glad to have the honour of posting some shots of him.

A nice care-free kind of pose. This young man knows how to be a good model!

Hear he is gazing away in thought, contemplating the meaning of life perhaps.

Well I'm afraid thats all I was able to take of him (he has a very tight schedule of course). So here is a spider. Just for the record, although the background has the look of a brightly lit tropical rainforest, it is actually a plain looking bush that I photoshopped to death.

Hope you enjoyed these, God Bless!

TURTLES!!!

Hello hello hello! Okay, I admit the turtle picture is actually pretty lame. But just the fact that their was a turtle in Lethbridge was enough to get me PUMPED UP! Maybe I don't actually live in the most boring place on earth (okay, thats just complaining, I could live in a small town, where I would slowly die of isolation).

Anyways, here are the picture of the Lethbridge turtles (thats right, turtleS, like more than one!!!!)

There was also this... a HERON! In LETHBRIDGE!!! Forgive the bad picture, it was in the middle of my joyful little dance at finding one of these things closer than 800 miles away...

I'm not sure what was wrong with these trees. They live in a place filled with turtles and herons yet they seem to be desperately trying to claw there way up into the sky... go figure.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my most recent blog entry,

FINALLY!

Hello everyone, I went to this wetland place in Lethbridge yesterday and it was pretty awesome! Who new that Lethbridge had Turtles, eh? However, you don't get to see the turtles until tomorrow! Hehe, I'm so mean. But I figured that seeing as it took me SOO long to post new pictures recently, I should at least spread these out. But you do get three today!

This is the Lethbridge Railroad Bridge... which as I've said before is our cities main attraction. I like this view better than the last one.

Now I have a confession to make for these pictures and probably all future ones.... I have learned how to put a picture into the computer... and change it to make it look prettier. However I can't post picture for you without telling you that they are deceiving. So here are two of my original pictures (left) and the same two after being edited (right). As you can see, the change is quite noticeable. Hopefully this means my horrible picture won't be quite as boring in the future. :)

Keilan

Apologies to All!

Hey all, I did plan to get some more good shots today, but we had a severe thunderstorm warning coupled with icky weather and wind, so I couldn't. I'm very sorry.

However, I do have a few new close ups for you all (these must be getting boring). If all goes well, I will have new shots TOMORROW! Oh yes, the answers from my game last post. Here is what the pictures were.

1. This was a super close up of my speaker, hehe.
2. This was a blue beany bear thing, with a silver crown and a red comb in it's crown.. (I didn't really expect anyone to get that)
3. This was the back end of an old coke bottle.

Okay, and here are 3 more. Same rules as last time, guess away! Or don't, if you prefer to just look, haha. These are easy ones today!

#1: Plenty of these lying around my room.

#2: I also have plenty of these, what can I say, I like soft things, hehe.

#3: As I said, these are not very hard ones.

Closer.... closer.... SNAP!

Hey everyone! This is the mark of a bored photographer for you, pictures taken in his own bedroom! I find that any old thing can make a decent picture if you get close enough to it! Haha. So for the sake of my blog not being un-updated any longer, here is my set of extreme close ups.

I bet nobody can guess what this is. And I'm not going to tell you. (Hint: Red-eye sucks, eh?)

This picture I need to explain. I do not have random piles of money lying around my room, I'm not that rich or stuck-up. This is 95% of the change in my room posing for a photo shoot.

Now it's time for the fun ones. We are going to play a game. In a comment, take a guess at what you think these are. Just say what number 1,2 and 3 is. I do hope somebody actually does this. If not, I'll feel dumb, then again, what else is new? haha :)

Number 1! I like this shot, I didn't expect it to turn out like this... this will be a nearly impossible one, you will get it wrong.

Number 2... well, this is just wierd... idea was from my brother... guess away!

Number 3! It's looking at you! Run away! (Hint: Not an eye)

Anyways, have fun all, God Bless!

New Gear!

Hey there everyone! I must say I love getting new equipment for my camera and my new Tripod certainly counts! You may or may not have noticed my occasional complaining about the one I had to use before, so I fixed it, and it's a beauty indeed, haha. It also made me want a few more accessories, but that is going to have to wait a few more paychecks. :) Anyways, I don't have new pictures for you, so I'm going to dig into my old photos and hope I don't post any repeats. hehe. Of course, first I need to show off my tripod since I know you all care so much.... ;)

Here it is, a little bit small, but this is so that I can actually carry it around.

Okay, so no good tripod is that small. Heres my tripod in it's full glory, hehe. I feel like a kid in a candy store.

Okay, so I probably won't get that many pictures that I wouldn't have gotten before now that I have this tripod... but it is such a cool tripod. Here are two old shots, I hope these arn't repeats.

This is a heron I found in BC... I have a sneaking feeling this is a repeat... forgive me if so.

Here is a beautiful butterfly in BC. I quite like this one.

Anyways, I hope to get new shots soon. Once I have some time and the weather behaves, I plan on going to some wetland park thingy near Lethbridge, I should get some then.

God Bless!

My latest pictures!

Well everyone. I visited a lake a few days ago, and actually got some new shots! These pictures may be a little bit disturbing to all my message board friends. Because as they know, ducks are very evil. I sat studying this one for nearly half an hour. Ducks do interesting things when you watch them long enough (menacing things). I should also point out, my family and friends who do not know about my duck theory will find this post hugely wierd and confusing. Apologies in advance.

Here the duck is supposedly... fishing. However I believe he is preparing to dive into his underground lair. But he noticed me before he did.

Here is my duck... ummm... looking very very content. There is an evil plot in this somewhere. I just don't know what it is.

Here is a close up. The duck has cleaned some white fluff out of his fur. I believe it is some kind of armour.

Here he is... well... doing that upside down thing. This needs no explanation. It's just evil.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed my post. God Bless!

Working with what I have

Hello everyone! Today what I bring to you is a combination of two things. The first being laziness, which is why I have no pictures. The second being that I want to justify the money I spent on my computer program to mess with pictures. So first, forgive me for not taking new pictures, and secondly enjoy these!

This one was put in a plastic wrap and then had the colours messed up. Quite a nice effect, haha.

This is my favourite turtle shot... I'm not entirely sure what I did to this one, I just pressed buttons.

This is just a really crazy effect. The computer said I was giving it glowing edges... I have no idea what that means, but it sure looks pretty.

Anyways, it's only fair to point out, that these took just about zero talent on my part. It was by God's grace alone that I managed to point the camera in the right place to get these shots, and some other computer smart guy that let me make them look all crazy like, haha.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed these, God Bless!

Photographic Block

Hey all!

I'm sorry for the lack of pictures, I find myself lacking good subjects for taking pictures of, hopefully I'll go to a lake tomorrow, good stuff at lakes. However, since I need to sound like an artist, I will call it a lack of inspiration and photographic block.

Anyways, I did make something for you. A background made of 16 of my shots stitched together. It's the right size for most computer backgrounds. Now I know nobody wants to use my shots as a background, but I had to post something, eh? :)

God Bless!

Full Moon!!!

Well hello everyone! As some of you may or may not know, yesterday was the night of the full moon. A night where obsessive photographers all flock outside to take pictures of it. Anyways, I don't think I could have asked for a better moon last night. All I could have used was a better tripod :) (Yes, I complain too much).

Anyways, I was checking outside for the moon every 10 minutes or so starting at 8:00. So when I saw it outside, completely orange, my reaction was almost tripping over myself to get my camera before the clouds covered it. I didn't get many good pictures of it while orange, I was still playing with settings at this time. But here is one of my better ones.

This is a picture I took while I was waiting for the clouds to go away. I made the moon very very bright so that the clouds would be viewable.

And this is one of the 60+ pictures I took when the moon was above the clouds. It was an excellent full moon last night as you can see!!

Anyways, I have some photographer friends that I have to show these too, God Bless!

Bad Pictures... sorry :)

Hey everyone!

As my message title might have suggested, my moon picture last night did not turn out too well. I only have one I'm willing to show, and I also took a picture of the bridge in Lethbridge. That is basically the only thing historic like in the city, so I decided I should at least have a few pictures of it. Here they are, full moon is tomorrow night, hopefully I can get some good shots then, although I really do need a tripod to take half-decent moon shots... oh well.

This is a picture of the Lethbridge railway bridge. Congratulations, you have all seen the most exciting thing in Lethbridge, you can now cross us off of your places to visit list.. haha.

Well if the clouds go away, I'll have some full moon shots for you all in the next few days. Have a great day and God Bless!!!

New Pictures!!!

Hello everyone!!! I took a few new pictures yesterday, and so of course, I am going to share them with you! Enjoy!

These are 4 crows sitting on a street light... they're all looking at something... maybe it's the two little birds that are going to attack one of them (I didn't get a picture of that)...

This, I didn't take yesterday, it was a wierd flower that I found somewhere in BC.

And this is a duck. My friends on the message board I go to are never going to let me live this down... I hope they don't see it. However, all my other shots turned out bad, proving that ducks are indeed evil. :)

Well thats it for today I'm afraid. I have also been made aware that it is slightly confusing to leave comments.... so I will explain it. First you click on the text under the message that says "0 Comments" or however many comments there are at the time. It will then show all existing comments and have a space to type at the left, type your message there. Then underneath the message box, check the little circle that says Anonymous and then click the option to post your comment! You do not need a blogger account to do this.

God Bless!

Hello everyone!!!

Guess what? Blogger was being very speedy today so I uploaded 4 pictures, instead of the 2 I planned to!!! YAY!!! I also got my copyright program, so now I can post whatever I want without fear of somebody stealing it. Just a note to my friends, if you want to use a picture for your background or something like that and want a high quality version, contact me using the link on my profile page and I'll probably be willing to send a version without the annoying copyright.

This is a bee, landing on a flower... as you can probably see, hehe. I thought it was cool.

Hehe, isn't it cute!!! I love turtles and I got to see this one in Victoria, I believe it is called a Red-necked slider... or something like that, a smart guy told me but I forgot... :)

This is a deer in my backyard, it turned out looking almost like a painting (I think anyway). There is a big technical explanation as to how I made it turn out looking like a painting, but I don't want to bore my readers.

This is another of the deer, it let me get so close to it. I believe I was only about 7 or 8 feet away for these shots, very uncommon to get that close.

Hope you enjoyed them!! God Bless!!!

Playing games with light...

Hey all, I just recently discovered how a photographer can make things seem just a little bit less real. I took a few crazy pictures recently, all by playing with a poorly lit room... these are going to be a little freaky, so don't be too scared.

Well this is an out of body experiance I had one day, hehe. I just randomly started flickering and got absorbed in a cloud of light... okay, I was actually in the same place the whole time. But hey, a magician never reveals his secrets.

This was taken in a nearly pitch black room, crazy, eh? I look scared, a little shaky, no?

Hmm, am I really there? I'm not sure anymore.

Haha, sorry for the creepiness. God Bless!

Greetings Bloggers!!!

Hello everyone! It seems I have started only posting every two days! I'm very sorry, I'm just too lazy to get on here every day, and unfortunately I can't take pictures 24/7. Anyways, here they are! Hmm, only two pictures today I guess, blogger refused to upload the 3rd.

This is a picture of the moon... during the afternoon... go figure.

This was a massive butterfly, it was beautiful. I must admit I'm jealous of my cousin for having butterflies like this in their backyard.

Sorry for the small amount of pictures today all,

God Bless,
keilan

I have no more post titles

Hey everyone! More pictures! Forgive me for no update yesterday, blogger refused to let me upload pictures. I hope you all didn't miss me too much! And I have a confession to make. I've been holding back on some of my photos, like my turtles... (Insert shocked gasps of horror here). Anyways, I'm waiting for a program that lets me put a copyright on the bottom, I should buy it soon. It's not that I don't trust the majority of you, it's just that anyone can access this page, and well, I don't want some random person selling my photos, hehe. Anyways, on with the show.

This is a Red Wood Tree, it was HUGE... and this one was only 72 years old, I can't even fathom who big the 300 year old ones are... This is truly the kind of plant I can see God growing in his backyard. :)

This is a crow. It is watching us... ick, freaky. Crows are just menacing birds when they want to be.

This is a big stretching valley type thing, I like valleys!

Hope you enjoyed these! God Bless you all!
